At first I thought these were photographs of an art installation but as it turns out they are documentary photographs. After reading of Namibia’s abandoned diamond mines, photographer Alvaro Sanchez-Montañes went and shot this otherworldly series of photographs. The Namibian desert has ravaged entire villages, showing us what appears to be a sneak preview of what our world might look like if nature decides to have its way with us – beautiful.
